As a photographer I sometimes have the privilege of taking maternity photos for past couples. From their wedding day, to now expecting their first child, Kyle and Shelby have been special to me. I’ve known Kyle since he was very young. Ive helped him with his homework, coached his flag football team, watched him get married at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa and now get to share in this special time. Their maternity shoot was on the beach on Honeymoon Island in Dunedin Florida. We began by shooting with Kyle and Shelby’s antique pickup truck. They had used it as part of their wedding too and was one of my favorites from that day as well. We then changed and made our way towards the beach and water. We were fortunate that day as there was a small inlet where a pool of water was just hanging out waiting for me to use it. We got some really awesome reflection shots. We finished our day by the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, where we had a beautifully painted sky. This was one of my favorite maternity sessions to date. I am so excited for Kyle and Shelby and the arrival of Kinsley. I loved this session, and these images.
